As we had been to the vernissage of the Arte Laguna exhibition (that I really recommend you to visit!) the evening before, we decided to have a walk in the city center of Mestre instead to have an early aperitivo: One of our bar crawl – stops was the Pasticceria Bido, one of the oldest and most known in Mestre.
And there’s a good reason to it: The pastry shop offers excellent treats; I tried a diamond with hazelnut cream and a tartlet with yoghurt and blueberry cream. Very tasty … just like the waiter (but don’t tell my boyfriend…!).
You only reach the Pasticceria by foot, as it’s located in Piazza Ferretto, and since finding a parking in Mestre city center is pretty hard, I recommend you the (temporary?) parking lot near the cinema IMG/Centro Culturale Candiani „Umberto I“: on Sunday’s it’s free. Otherwise it’s €1/hour. The entrance to the parking lot is in Via Luigi Einaudi.
