I guess that quite a lot of non-locals who accidentally finish in Via Verdi will be wondering about the (chitchatting) masses in front of the bar “L’Altro Verdi” and it’s neighbor the “Bacaro”: Especially because both bars – only separated by a street – are hardly noticed by day.
In the evening, at aperitivo time, when the doors (or better: the roller shutters) are opened, both bars transform – like Cinderella – in two of the best visited bars in Mestre.
One of the best Italian traditions/”inventions” that you’ll also have the pleasure to experience in the “Altro Verdi”, are the “free” (for clients, so you should get a drink first) snacks at aperitivo time reaching from salads to bruschette or mini-pizzas: being there early can be crucial because “first come first serve”.
And what about the prices? €2,50 for a Spritz and about €5 for a cocktail.
