In Austria and Germany people talk about 2G, 2.5 G and 3G. Here in Italy it was decided to give it the „stylish“ name Super-Green-Pass.
The Super-Green-Pass comes into effect on the 6th December for vaccinated and recovered persons.
The Basic-Green-Pass continues to exist and includes apart the vaccinated and recovered persons also those with a valid antigenic (48 hours) or a molecular test (72 test).
Starting from the 6th December there will thus be 2 Green Passes
What do you need the Super-Green-Pass for?
Those in possession of this pass are not concerned by restrictions in yellow and orange areas, but can freely move. In red areas instead the restrictions are valid for everyone (Super-Green-Pass and Basis-Green-Pass holders).
The Super-Green-Pass will be necessary in white areas until the 15th January 2022. Here you can check on the actual colours.
Children up to 12 years don’t need these passes.
The Super-Green-Pass is necessary for
- Events, sport events, inside of restaurants, for parties, in discos and during public ceremonies
- In ski resorts in orange areas
The Basic-Green-Pass
- Locker rooms of fitness centres, swimming pools and other places used for sports
- Ski resorts in white and yellow areas
- Public Transportation (bus, train, tram)
- Hotels
Please consider that new decrees are published regularly, thus the use of the Green Pass and Super Green Pass can also be extended or changed. Consult the official websites of your embassy or of the Italian Ministry of Health (Ministero della Salute) for up-to-date info.
